Notice of AGM 2026/2027 & Call for Executive Committee Nominations
Past Pupils’ Association of Bandaranayake College, Gampaha.
The Past Pupils’ Association (PPA) of Bandaranayake College, Gampaha, hereby informs all members that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2026/2027 term will be held on 7th June 2026, 9.00 AM
As part of the AGM proceedings, nominations are now being called for the appointment of members to the Executive Committee for the 2026/2027 term.
Executive Committee Appointments
The Executive Committee consists of:
- Main Committee Office Bearers
- Other Executive Committee Members
Nominations are currently being called for the following Main Committee positions through the official nomination process:
- Executive Secretary
- Vice President
- Senior Treasurer
- Administrative Secretary
- Deputy Treasurer
- Deputy Administrative Secretary
- Subcommittee President (Development)
- Subcommittee President (Membership & Networking)
- Subcommittee President (Sports)
- Subcommittee Secretary (Development)
- Subcommittee Secretary (Membership & Networking)
- Subcommittee Secretary (Sports)
- Subcommittee Deputy President (Development)
- Subcommittee Deputy President (Membership & Networking)
- Subcommittee Deputy President (Sports)
- Subcommittee Deputy Secretary (Development)
- Subcommittee Deputy Secretary (Membership & Networking)
- Subcommittee Deputy Secretary (Sports)
Eligibility Requirements for Main Committee Positions
As stipulated in the Constitution of the Association, candidates contesting for the above Main Committee positions must satisfy the following minimum service requirements within the Executive Committee:

Executive Secretary & Vice President
Minimum 5 years of Executive Committee service, including at least 2 years in a principal office-bearing role -
Senior Treasurer & Administrative Secretary
Minimum 3 years of Executive Committee service, including at least 1 year in a responsible office-bearing role -
Deputy Treasurer & Deputy Administrative Secretary
Minimum 3 years of Executive Committee service -
Subcommittee Presidents & Secretaries
Minimum 2 years of Executive Committee service -
Subcommittee Deputy Positions
Minimum 1 year of Executive Committee service
Eligibility for Other Executive Committee Members
Members seeking appointment as other Executive Committee members are required to have been registered members of the Past Pupils’ Association for a minimum period of one year.
Submission of Nominations
Members intending to contest for Main Committee positions are requested to complete the official Nomination Application Form and submit it to the Executive Secretary or Administrative Secretary on or before:

Nominations may be submitted either physically or in soft copy/electronic format. Soft copy/electronic submissions are also accepted. Completed nomination forms should be emailed to ppabcgw@gmail.com.
Please note that only nominations submitted using the prescribed standard format will be accepted. Any deviation from the approved format may result in rejection of the nomination.
Important Information
- Every main committee nomination must be proposed by a current or former member of the Main Committee of the Association
- Candidates must possess active membership status up to the current year
- Candidates are required to declare compliance with the Code of Ethics of the Association
- Incomplete or non-compliant applications may be rejected
Members are encouraged to actively participate in the AGM process and contribute towards the continued progress and development of the Association.
